FIRST STUDY ON THE USAGE OF OVAPRIM FOR THE INDUCED SPAWNING OF COMMON CARP (CYPRINUS CARPIO) IN BASRAH - IRAQ

The synthetic hormonal product Ovaprime was used for the induced spawning of Cyprinus carpio , in comparson with Pituitary gland extract. study done Basrah univ. Marine Sience Center freshwater fish hatchery. is an Analog Gonadotropine releasing hormone salmon (sGnRHa) as well Domperidone Dopamine Antagonist. first group C.carpio injected 0.5 ml one dose while second ( control) PG extract two 0.3mg/kg a & 3.0 mg/Kg dose). results showed that usage gives better than performing parameters spawning. Average Ova weight provided by hand stripping higher treatment. average ova per body also (11.97%) compaired 7.245% PG, but these were not statisticaly significant . With all fishes had free flowing half fishes. Fertilization rate (95%) Ovaprime, and this highly differences from PG. Hatching increased to reach 93.75% it 83.75% PG,it differences. In addition seen more practical hatchery management work..also It found cheapest extraction during period.
